Obituary For John A. "Jack" Jackereas

John A. “Jack” Jackereas, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Acuity Hospital. He was born January 7, 1935 in Steubenville a son of the late Anthony & Margaret Simpson Jackereas. He was retired from Weirton Steel Co. electric shop and  also held memberships with Weirton Moose Lodge 688; Jefferson County & G.K.L.  Sportsmans Clubs. Preceding Jack in death were his daughter Joy; grandson Michael J. Antinone; brother James and sister Katherine Beattie.Jack is survived by his wife Mary Lou Ball Jackereas; son Jay (Miriam) Zacharias; daughters Jill (Richard) Antinone & Jeanne (Dave) Albus; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister Beth Jackereas.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

    Mary Lou, Since it seems like forever that you and John were a "couple," I know you will have many cherished memories of him. Although I did miss our last '52 class reunion as I was still in NC at that time (but am now back in the Columbus, OH area), I think the two of you generally made it to those great reunions.
