John A. “Jack” Jackereas, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Acuity Hospital. He was born January 7, 1935 in Steubenville a son of the late Anthony & Margaret Simpson Jackereas. He was retired from Weirton Steel Co. electric shop and also held memberships with Weirton Moose Lodge 688; Jefferson County & G.K.L. Sportsmans Clubs. Preceding Jack in death were his daughter Joy; grandson Michael J. Antinone; brother James and sister Katherine Beattie.Jack is survived by his wife Mary Lou Ball Jackereas; son Jay (Miriam) Zacharias; daughters Jill (Richard) Antinone & Jeanne (Dave) Albus; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister Beth Jackereas.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon in the funeral home chapel. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
