Joann Findlay, 88, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Gables Care Center. She was born September 2, 1937 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Berne A. & Violet Georgia White, Sr.
Joann enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, working in her flower gardens, cooking and family game nights. She was a lifelong member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Steubenville. Joann enjoyed spending time sharing the good news of God alongside her mother and friends.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband Walter John Findlay; granddaughter Tara Sweet; brother Berne A. White, Jr. and sister Joyce Spencer. She is survived by her children John (Nan Speer) Findlay, Michael (Penny Futch) Findlay, Kate Findlay, Ann (Shawn) Martin, Jodi Lee and honorary daughter Peggy Vail; sister Judith (Charles) Magee; six grandchildren Charles Jacobs, Corey Jacobs, Colton (Marisa Cummings) Findlay, Gabriel Martin, Kaylin Lee & Hunter Lee and three great-grandchildren Harper, Carson & Warren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. with Travis Farmer officiating. Private burial at Fort Steuben.
