Billie, Shari, and Tracey, I wish I had the words to vanquish your pain but, regrettably, I don't. My heart aches for all of you and I wish I could be there to help and support you in this saddest of times. I'm attaching a poem that I received when my dear Andy passed away. I hope it helps. When I am gone, release me; let me go I have so many things to see and do. You must not tie yourself to me with tears Be happy that we had so many years I gave you love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love each have shown but now it is time I travelled alone. So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It is only for a while that we must part so bless those memories within your heart. I will not be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you will hear. All of my love around you, soft and clear. Then when you must come this way alone, I will greet you with a smile and a welcome home.

I am so sorry to hear of Joans passing. She was such a lovely person in every way. She will be greatly missed. I worked with Joan at Parda but I really got to know Joan on a breast care walk where she said she would try to do a mile then she just kept going. The next year she walked the entire three mile course with energy to spare. I am so glad she found love again she deserved it. God Bless all of you at this sad occasion. Genia

I truly understand how you feel, I have known Joan since 1995. She and I would laugh over and over again for no reason at all. My heart truly goes out to the family and friends as I just lost my father 2 weeks ago. It's said in time it will heal and we have to make sure to mention her name often to keep her spirt alive as I feel this is what she would want. She now will get to spread her happiness thru the golden streets above and be a beatiful flower in GODS garden. She will always be a part of the essential peace of PARDA with all of her PARDA friends Take care and best wishes, The Marks family- PARDA Friend

So sorry for your loss! Hold on to the good memories and, with time, the world will stop reeling.

  • 09/03/2024

Shari, Billy and Tracy, I am so sad to hear about your mom. I know there are no words that can take away your pain, but I want you to know how much I adored and loved your mom. I will never forget seeing her through the kitchen window, yelling out "yoo whoo". Many great childhood memories I hold near to my heart because of your mom. When I think of your mom, I remember her beautiful smile--she was always smiling. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and I wish I could be there with you now. The only thing I can offer you is that the remedies for grief are time, courage and love---all applied with tenderness. Take care of yourselves.
