Jo Ann McClain, 83, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Villa Vista after a long period of declining health. She was born on June 8, 1936 in Bergholz, Ohio, a daughter of the late John H. & Wilma C. Elliott. Preceding Jo Ann in death were her husband of 59 years, John L. “Bert” McClain and brother John R. Elliott. Jo Ann grew up in Bergholz and was a 1954 graduate of the last graduating class of Bergholz High School. For over 30 years she was the Executive Officer of the Steubenville Area Board of Realtors, Belmont County Board of Realtors, and Tri-State MLS. She loved her job and enjoyed serving the members. Jo Ann was a former member of Wintersville Church of Christ and the former Order of Eastern Star Irondale Chapter #569. Jo Ann is survived by two daughters, Shelley (Jay) Zatta of Wintersville & Theresa (Marc) Roberson of Winchester, VA; three grandchildren Logan Roberson, Aimee (Brenton) Lehman & Caleb Roberson; and three great grandchildren Charlotte, William & Theodore Lehman. Jo Ann’s family extends thanks to the staff of Lancia Villa Vista for the compassion and care provided to her during her stay. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday, June 30 6 – 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Monday, July 1 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Marc Roberson officiating.
