Jess R. Babel, 82, of Steubenville died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on July 5, 1932 a son of the late Henry E. and Ronola Adams Babel. Jess was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Jess is survived by his sisters Valerie (Chuck) Sagun, Linda (Richard) Bunckley, Mary Drake, Dorothy Irvin and Dolores; brothers Bill Babel and Ora (Barbara) Babel and his best friend Smokey. Services will be private.
