Obituary For Jenny P. Williams

Jenny P. Williams, 73, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at her home.  She was born in Steubenville, OH on November 7, 1937 a daughter of the late Shelby and Pearl Shannon Tucker.  Jenny had attended Starkdale Presbyterian Church and was a member of American Legion Post 557 Auxiliary, where she won the President’s Volunteer Service Award numerous times and also was named member of the month.   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Cynthia Ann Williams; brothers Harold R. Tucker, Thomas W. Tucker and Shelby “Sonny“ Tucker; sister Mary E. “Scottie” Jones.  Jenny is survived by her son David M. (Monica) Williams of Faulkner, MD; daughter Denise E. DaPra  of Canonsburg, PA; sister Paula Hendricks of Wintersville, OH; grandchildren Brian David, Jason Vonn and Cynthia Lorraine DaPra.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday from 10a.m. until time of service at  Noon with Rev. Bruce Hitchcock officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be directed to Wintersville American Legion Post 557, PO Box 2387, Wintersville, OH 43953 or Charity Hospice, PO Box 2483, Wintersville, OH 43953.

    So sorry to read in the Herald Star of your loss. She was a sweet, kind and wonderful lady. I'm sure she and my deceased mom (Helen Williamson) are talking over old times at the Legion. It will be wonderful to see them both at the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Denise & Davey Your Mother and I were best friends from 5th grade and on for many years When you Mother had surgery when i think maybe you were 5 at the time Denise you stayed with me and my family and Davy with his Aunt. I have pictures of Denise with 3 of my daughters riding piggy back on my Dad's back You and your families are in my prayers you have my heartfelt sympathy.     Dear Dave, Monica, and Denise Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother. Thank you for the HONOR it was to serve her in her final days at home. What a blessing you all were to be there for your Mom, especially when you were needed most. You gave her peace and I am sure she is so very proud of you. We all hold you in our prayers and in our thoughts. We are here for you in any way you need us to be.     Jenny I am going to miss seeing your bright smile at the Legion. You have seen me grow up from a Baby Girl to a Beautiful Women (as you always put it). Things are not going to be the same. To Jenny's Family I am very sorry for you Loss. Jenny was a one of a kind person.
