Jennie Josephine Bandini, formerly from Elizabeth, PA, went to the Lord on October 22, 2020. She was 96 years of age and lived a wonderful life until she was unable to live alone.
She was a member of the Italian Club, Senior Citizens and the Woman’s Club of Elizabeth. Jennie worked at Maracinni’s Bakery in Elizabeth. She attended St. Michael’s Church most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Jennie Martin Gatto. Also preceding her in death were her husband William L. Bandini on July 3, 2012 on their 66th wedding anniversary, sisters Raffaline (Dominick) Grilli, Catherine (Joseph) Strinich, brothers Angelo (Helen) Gatto, August (Maxine) Gatto, sister-in-law Frances Gatto and son-in-law August Avoli.
Jennie enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to play bingo. Her family was always a priority of hers.
Jennie is survived by her daughter Jennie Avoli, brother Nick Gatto, Jr., grandsons William (Jennifer) Avoli, A.J. (Shelley) Avoli and great grandchildren Alexandra, Amelia and Christian Avoli.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10 -11:30 a.m. Funeral liturgy with mass at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2565 Alexander Ave., Steubenville, Ohio with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Ruth Snyder and staff at Martha Manor for their loving care over the past years. Also, we would like to thank Charity Hospice for all their care and support.
