Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your mother and grandmother. This seems so impersonal, but, unfortunately I am going to be out of town this weekend. I was a classmate(highschool) of your mother's. Janis was a dedicated member of the reunion committee each year, and she was truly the unofficial historian for the class of '56. The last time I saw her was at our 50th reunion last August. She had prepared a wonderful display of the class picture plus lots of pictures. Of course, they were beautifully organized and presented. Who would expect anything else from Janis. At the end of the evening, I helped her load all of the items and pictures into her car. That is, of course , the last time I saw her. She was Janis. Over 50 years, she never changed. I have many fond memories, like her party on Haloween at the country club, going to Club 22 when she had on a beautiful white evening gown and fell going out onto the dance floor,I was taking her out, and one evening the two of us "chasing parkers!" Yes, I am talking about your mother. We will sorely miss her, but I know , as I know she did, that she is in a much better place. She has left this journey and moved on to the next journey. As I said I am so sorry I won't be able to be there tomorrow to express my condolences in person, but please know you all are in my prayers, and I pray for her soul. Sincerely, Ken Dornbush
