Obituary For Janet I. Ewing

Janet I. Ewing, 85, of Unionport, OH passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Unionport, OH on March 12, 1938 a daughter of the late Charles and Edith Pearl Ford Spurrier. She retired from Huntington Bank and had started with the former Unibank and later Sky Bank as the Vice President of Bookkeeping and Accounting. She was a major organizer of the Charles M. and Thelma M. Pugliese Charitable Foundation. She loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to herparents, she was proceeded in death by her son Robert E. Ewing, Jr; brothers Charles, William, James and Richard; sisters Frances and Susan. Janet is survived by her husband Robert E. Ewing, Sr.; sons Robbie “Moe” (Tammy) Ewing and Randy (Carla) Ewing; sister Drenda Harris all of Unionport, OH; brother Duane (Diane) Spurrier of Steubenville, OH: daughter-in-law Susan Ewing; grandchildren Josh Ewing, Bobbie Jo Kless, Courtney Ewing, Kasey Brown and Rachel Ewing; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Tuesday from 4-7p.m., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10a.m. with Rev. Nick Glatzer officiating.

Burial at Unionport Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital.
