Obituary For Janet I. DeFranco

Janet I. DeFranco, 82, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, September 28, 2007 at Trinity West following a brief illness. She was born August 31, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of the late John and Kathryn Howell Markgraf. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Joseph N. DeFranco on March 4, 1996. Surviving are two daughters Donna Lee (John) Hatcher of Wintersville, OH and Bonnie Jo (Timothy) Hudak of Snellville, GA; seven grandsons John (Jodi) Hatcher, III, Scott Hatcher, Timothy Hudak, Jr., Shawn (Valerie) Hudak, Ryan Hudak, Jaime Hudak and Joey Hudak; great granddaughter Courtney Lee Hatcher and sister Evelyn Ormeggi of Monrovia, CA. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville Tuesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be held Tuesday 12 noon at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Leonard Cencula officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.

    Dear Donna and family. I will miss seeing your dear mother at the beauty shop. She was a beautiful lady and so kind. I am very glad I got to know her. I know you will miss her greatly as we all will. I considered her as my friend. God comfort you during this difficult time. Love, Mary Ellen

    Dear Donna & Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there. I loved Janet very much. Never will an August pass or a Christmas go by that I won't think of our gatherings. Donna, Losing a parent is never easy, please don't hesitate to call on mom if you need ANYTHING. I love you and will talk to you soon.

    WE WILL MISS JANET GREATLY. SHE WAS SUCH A CLASSY LADY AND A WONDERFUL NEIGHBOR. WE GREATLY APPRECIATE HOW MUCH SHE DID FOR CASEY, HER THOUGHTFULNESS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. SHE WILL BE REMEMBERED FONDLY

    Donna, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I do know how hard it is to lose your mom. Just remember, she will always be with you. Not just only in your heart,but everywhere you are. Again I am sorry for you loss.
