It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we remember Jamie S. “Jame” Reducha, who passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 55. Born on December 7, 1969, Jamie’s journey through life was marked by a vibrant spirit and a heart as nurturing as her green thumb. She resided at Beechwood Blvd. in Wintersville, where she filled her home with music, laughter, and warmth that she generously shared with those who crossed her path. Known for her green thumb, she could breathe life into the most reluctant of plants which mirrored her nurturing spirit.
She was employed as a physical therapist assistant at Country Club Manor, where she found great fulfillment in working with the elderly, embracing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Jamie is preceded in death by Robbie Sommers.
Jamie is survived by her daughter Morgan (PJ) Grantonic; her grandson and the love of her life Christopher A. Vogagis; parents John A. “Tony” & Sandy Sommers Reducha; sister Jan (Doug) Freshwater; nephews and niece Dustin (Rachel) Freshwater, Adam Freshwater and Madisyn Freshwater.
Per her request, there will be no visitation or services.
In lieu of flowers, Jamie would like donations to be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society.

I did not know Jamie well, but she was my physical therapist at CC Manor. She was very kind. She taught me to walk and climb steps even with a broken knee cap. I truly appreciated her help. Sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.

It has been quite a few years since we have seen Jamie. When I think of her, I think of a kind, sweet, gentle, and pensive young woman. I will share with you one of my favorite memories. Jamie would often come to our farm to walk in the woods, and sometimes to meditate. She would usually sit by a small stream to feel the peace of the water passing over the stones. On one such occasion, Jamie was quietly seated, eyes closed, listening to the water trickling when she felt a warm breath on her neck. She stiffened; a bit frightened, uncertain as to what was now close to her. Then the breathing added a gentle nibble on her neck... she did refrain from screaming and running only to then be greeted by a gentle murmur (baa to be more like it). It was Jenny sharing her space. Jenny was a rescue Toggenberg goat from the local animal shelter. Jenny also often sought the solace of the woods, especially that peaceful woodland spot by the stream. I think Jenny was happy to share that spot with Jamie and likewise so was Jamie. We are so sorry such a sweet person should leave us all too soon. Out hearts go out to you all. Much love and heartfelt sympathy, Bill and Sherry Gorby

Jamie will be sadly missed by everyone. She will be remembered for her kindness to EVERYONE, including animals. Knowing her since age 3, she didn't have a mean bone in her body. I am grateful for our early years growing up together and I'm so thankful for the memories...lots of orneriness and laughter. The funniest memory was when Jamie convinced me to get an umbrella and join her in climbing a tall tree and jumping to the ground with our umbrellas open. Jamie said we could call it "Mary Poppins" and it would be "fun"! (Thankful that Sandy and Dodie caught us just in time!) I also cherish the years of all of the neighborhood kids playing Hide and Seek. Jamie could never be caught and she would always make it to base! However, the most important lesson I learned from knowing Jamie in these early years was her love of animals...ALL animals, especially Tonka and Max the groundhog! Wonderful, wonderful memories... I am forever grateful for our genuine and true friendship, my friend. You will be missed so much. With deepest sympathy to Morgan (PJ), Christopher, Sandy & Tony, Jan & Doug, Dustin (Rachel), Adam, & Madi... Much love and prayers to you all. XOXO

Morgan, Mr. & Mrs. Reducha, Jan and family, My heart just aches for all of you. My high school best friend. We had so much fun together. So many memories....lost touch, as many do when life happens...ironically, our daughters became roomies the first year of college. We laughed as we moved them in and recalled our years at their age. I so regret we lost touch again. I'm sending love and comfort for the ones that meant most to James, I liked to call her James....I will never forget her. Please keep all those happy memories in mind, knowing that is exactly what she would want for all of you. See you later James!!
