James W. Statler 76 of Jewett, Ohio died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born in Germano, Ohio on April 19, 1927. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Patton Statler; his father Frank Statler; and one brother Don Statler. James was a retired salesman for Austin Powder Company and Protestant by faith. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. His memberships include Scio American Legion Post #482 ; V.F.W.; Scio Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, and Osiris Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Wheeling, WV. Survivors include son, Barry Statler and wife Marilyn of Bloomingdale, Ohio; daughter Sue Noah and her husband Don of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother Carrie Busby Statler of Cadiz, Ohio; brother, Larry Statler of New Philadelphia, Ohio; three grandchildren, Shane Statler, Amy Macy and Laynie Kuttie and four great grandchildren. At the request of the family, all services will be private.
