James T. “Jim” Fisher, 86, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, July 24, 2006 at Palliative Care. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 19, 1919 the son of the late James T. and Arlie Bott Fisher. Jim was a member of New Cumberland Nazarene Church and retired from Weirton Steel Co. Sheet Mill. He was an Navy veteran of WWII. Preceding Jim in death were his first wife Sarah and one sister. Surviving are his wife Edith M. Showalter Fisher; daughter Myra (Jerry) Higgs; stepsons Robert (Nancy) Herstine, Paul Herstine, Larry (Patty) Herstine, Charles (Susan) Herstine & David Herstine; stepdaughters Joyce (David) Andrews & Alice (Kevin) Kaufman; 2 grandchildren; 26 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 19 step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Jim Larrabee officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
