James R. Smith, 53, of Richmond, OH died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Trinity West Medical Center. He was born in Steubenville, OH on February 18, 1953 a son of the late Harry J. and Annabelle Blitho Smith. Preceding Jim in death were two brothers and two sisters. He was a Larry Car operator at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Jim is survived by his son James M. (fiancée Stacey) Smith and daughter Elizabeth A. Smith all of Richmond, OH; grandson Gauge Lee Smith of Richmond, OH; twin brother John R. Smith of Richmond, OH; four sisters Mary E. Blanchard of Mingo Junction, OH, Margaret B. (Dave) Buchannon of Brilliant, OH, Linda (Robert) Tullis of Gillette, WY, and Susan C. (Ronald) Carman of Hopedale, OH; and former spouse June L. Smith of Wintersville, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Guy Hull officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors.
