Obituary For James P. "Jim" Hammer

James P. “Jim” Hammer, 72, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Trinity West. He was born January 17, 1944 in Glena, MO a son of the late Phillip and Jacqueline “Jackie” Hammer. Jim owned and operated his own business DPH in Wintersville for 17 years. Surviving are his wife Tammy M. (Mason) Hammer; two daughters Hannah (Bradley) Piko of Wintersville, OH and Jamie Hammer of San Francisco, CA; three sons David Hammer of Steubenville, OH, P.J. (Laycee) Hammer of Wintersville, OH and John Hill of Wichita, KS; granddaughter Ruby Piko of Wintersville, OH and his dog Beatle. Arrangements are entrusted to Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville. Memorial donations may be directed to the Jefferson County Humane Society.

    My deepest sympathies to the family. I was so fortunate to know Jim. He was a great boss, and I always tried to make him proud of any project he threw my way. I hope he knew how much I enjoyed his stories and sense of humor. I pray that time will bring peace and comfort to everyone. I love you all!Thanks for giving me a chance, Jim. And don't worry, I will get Beatle his chicken nuggets.
