James Patrick Morelli, 70, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009 at U.P.M.C.He was born March 17, 1939 in Reeds Mill, the son of the late James V. & Virginia Nuest Morelli. After serving in the Army, Jim was employed at Timet, prior to operating Morelli Home Improvement and later retired from ODOT as a building maintenance inspector.He was a charter member of Wintersville F.O.P. Auxiliary and the Carpenters Union Local in Steubenville. Preceding Jim in death were two sisters Rosa Zink & Mary Anna Morelli and two infant brothers.Jim is survived by his wife of 29 years Helen Visnic Morelli; children Cindy (Rodney) Hobson, James W. Morelli & Cathy Taylor all of North Carolina; grandchildren Michelle Gordon, Salina Alridge & Brandon Taylor; great grandsons Ashton Swaim & Tanner Gordon; extended family Lani & Sonya Yaksich and grandson Brian Smith; mother-in-law Dolly Visnic; brother Roland (Irene) Morelli of Mingo Junction; sisters Orega Yanik of Steubenville, Victoria (John) Kosar of Bloomingdale, Ellen (James) Burgess of Stratton, June (David) Laughery of Mingo & Midge (Terry) Baker of Hillsboro, IL; and brother-in-law Paul W. Zink of Wintersville.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. David Sperry officiating. Burial At Fort Steuben.
