James N. Hobson, Sr. 76 of Wintersville, OH died Friday, June 6, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on April 21, 1927 the son of the late James and Blanche Stahl Hobson. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked in the Electrical Structure Dept. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by his 1st wife Clara McFall Hobson and his 2nd wife Dorothy Skidmore Hobson. He is survived by his son James N. (Sydney) Hobson, Jr. of Smithfield, OH, daughter Marilyn (Arthur) Miller of Wintersville, OH, his companion Jessica Candy Myers of Hopedale, OH, sisters Alice Murphey of Richmond, OH and Eva Fabianich of Weirton, WV, grandson Arthur (Heather) Miller of Wintersville, granddaughters Jennifer (Christopher) Carr of Steubenville, Aubree Hobson of Fort Steuben, GA, and Corbin Hobson of Smithfield, OH, great grandaughter Christopher Carr. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., where funeral services will be held on Monday, 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services at cemetery.
