James Lee “Jim” Riley, age 75, of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio. “J.R.” as he was also known to by his friends was born in Crockett, Texas on February 2, 1939 the son of the late Jack Riley and Queen E. Sims Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Tina C. Mushrush Riley on February 24, 2013 and a grandson Lucian Prekup. He was a career U.S. Army veteran retiring as E-8 Master Sergeant where he served in the capacity of Quartermaster & Cartographer. Survived by his children; Lashawn Ward, Shaerdel and Anthony (Debra) Riley, David Bland, Sharice Baxter, Jamie (Matt) Prekup, James (Hannah) Riley Jr. and Justin (Rachael) Riley; seventeen grandchildren and four great granddaughters. Per family’s request, no visitation or services are planned. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
