I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Although I have not seen him in years, I still have very fond memories and appreciate the guidance and influence he provided me. I worked at Sears while in high school in the late 70's and grew to respect his stately gentleman style. Jim was a kind, compassionate and caring man who always had a smile and positive words to share. Rest in peace, Jim.

I first met Jim as a Sears salesman in about 1975. I had visited the Sears Store in Wintersville to purchase a gallon of "Oak Paint". Jim looked high and low -searched many paint product catelogues and couldn't find the "Oak Paint". Jimm tried to convince em that this "paint" was only some hue of brown and that "Oak Paint" did not extist. After several years, I agreed with him. This became a stand joke between the two of us.
