James K. “Jim” Harris, Sr., 72, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Friday, April 20, 2007 at Trinity West ER. He was born November 28, 1934 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Sylvester I. And Jeannette K. Hoffman Harris. Jim retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a welder and was a member of Finley United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceding Jim in death were his sisters Martha Jean Harris and Maxine Jolly. Surviving are his wife Esther E. Musgrave Harris; two sons Jim (Amanda) Harris, Jr., of Richmond, OH and Dr. Kevin (Dawn) Harris of Richmond, OH; daughter Julia (James) Carman of Hopedale, OH; ten grandchildren David, James Matthew, Joey, Max, Ben, Camille and Rosie Harris and Brittany, Megan and Jacob Carman; sister Mary Lou (George) Yaich of Bloomingdale, OH; two nephews Steven (Jennifer) Yaich of Columbus, OH and Jeff (Gwen) Jolly of Arizona and many other loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday at Finley United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Burial at Bloomingdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Finley United Methodist Church.
