My best childhood friend Jimmy will be missed. We met at Wells school in the 4th grade right after he moved from Chicago. He sat right behind me. Just a few days ago we were talking on the phone about old times and we laughed about me making fun of his funny looking Chicago dress pants. We remained close even after I moved to Arizona. He attended my daughters wedding in Phoenix. Since he was a black belt in karate he liked to joke with my son Jason who is also into karate. He was so proud of his son Mike who is a national karate champion. He joked Mike could protect his 2 sisters. My wife Jan and I were so impressed when Jimmy and Tracey decided to raise three kids late in life. He told me many times on the phone recently that he loved his son Derek and daughter Kara. He looked up to his brother "Big John" and really cared about him. He always praised Tracey his significant other and his love and immense respect for her was evident when they decided to raise their current family. Jimmy was a good man. I will miss him.

Jimmy today is Thanksgiving and I just wanted you to know how much I miss you not a day goes by that I do not think of you! My heart hurts and sometimes feels like it will break in half! Whoever said that time heals all wounds didn't have you in their life. Although I am an Atheist I hope you will remember the last words I said to you, " If I am wrong and heaven and hell are real, I would rather spend an eternity in hell with you, the one day in heaven without you! I will always love you!! xoxooxo Tracy

I have known Jimmy since he moved to Steubenville from Chicago when we were in grade school. We were friends through high school, then lost track of each other after I left Steubenville. We connected again at Big Red reunions, most recently at the mixer for the 50th reunion. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Don Mayers
