James "Jim" H. Burkey of Wintersville, Ohio, born 9/4/1942 at home in Toronto, OH, to the late Roy and Edith (Smalley) Burkey, died peacefully at home December 19th, 2020. Jim was a graduate of Wayne High School, an Army Veteran, as well as a retiree of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Jim was well known for his ability to have a good time, never meeting a person he didn't befriend. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce A. (Carter) Burkey and his two sons Jay (Barbara) Burkey & Jody Burkey, two grandsons Cody (Audrey) Alford & Colton Burkey, a great grandson Shawn, as well as several generations of nieces and nephews whom he adored as if they were his own. Per his request, there will be no services. Condolences may be sent to their home.
