Obituary For James H. Edgell

James H. “Jim” Edgell, 87, of Pittsburgh, PA formerly of Steubenville, OH passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the home of his son in Punxsutawney, PA.  He was born in Reader, WV on May 19, 1926 a son of the late Bruce and Effie Swiggar Edgell. Jim was retired from Columbia Gas of West Virginia and was Methodist by faith.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Arlette Davis Edgell; sons Harold and Steven Edgell; 11 brothers and sisters.  Jim is survived by one brother Archie (Frances) Edgell of Center Point, WV; three sons Harvey (Debbie) Edgell of Punxsutawney, PA, Harley (Teri) Edgell of Jupiter, FL and Charles (Rose) Edgell of Weirton, WV; two daughters Shirley (Joseph) Littleton of Toronto, OH and Sandra (Steve) Hollins of West Palm Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClaves), 611 N.4th Street, Steubenville, OH on Sunday from 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10a.m. with Rev. Robert Meyer officiating.  Burial at Center Chapel Cemetery.
