James G. Shaw, 76, of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Sienna Woods Nursing Home. He was born July 25, 1930 in Mingo Junction, Ohio a son of the late Carl L. and Louise F. Walton Shaw. Jim retired as an engineer from WTOV - 9 after forty years of service. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Steubenville Masonic Lodge #45, Scottish Rite of Steubenville, Steubenville Shrine Club and Aladdin Shrine. He was preceded in death by three sisters Pauline, Jean and Shirley Shaw. Surviving are his wife Stella M. Chuich Shaw; daughter Debbie (Jim) Travis of Wintersville, OH; son James G. (Janatha) Shaw, Jr. of Citrus Heights, CA; five grandchildren Meika and James Travis both of Wintersville, OH and Ashlie, Travis and Dylan Shaw all of Citrus Heights, CA; brother Carl Robert Shaw of Danville, VA; four sisters Martha Wright of Wintersville, OH, Barbara Joann Raha of Mingo Junction, OH, Carolyn Haislet of Crown Point, IN and Ruth Jackson of Mingo Junction, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will perform military honors. Masonic service Tuesday 6 p.m.
