James “Donald” Davidson, 87, of Steubenville passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Bolger Country Club Manor. He was born in Steubenville on October 18, 1929 a son of the late Marion C. and Mary Elizabeth Sterling Davidson. Donald was a retired supervisor at Highway Oil Company and was a member of Paris Church of the Nazarene in Paris, PA. He was a veteran having served in both the Army Air Corps and the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by sisters June Nethers and Ruth Davidson and his brother Robert Davidson. He is survived by his wife Ruby Knight Davidson; children Linda (Jim) Taylor of Steubenville, Donna (Tom) Price of Wintersville, James R. Davidson of Wintersville and Robbie (Madeline) Davidson of West Springfield, MA; brother Robert Davidson and sister Marian Houser, both of Steubenville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Friends may also call on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. with Pastor Joe Ryan officiating. Burial at Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside service
