To everyone who posted here, please accept our family's thank you. My dad was truly a remarkable man - a good father, husband, and Christian. I'm thankful for the good example he gave us and know that he resides now with his heavenly Father. We hope you live by his example so that some day, you, too, can be welcomed into heaven. I love you, Dad!

Jim was truly one of the kindest, sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. As a neighbor, he was thoughtful and generous and always had a smile and a wave, years later, as my step-dad, he was loving, and helpful and always wanting to help out. He will be sadly missed and loved forever. My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of the McElroy family.
