James D. “Jim” Byrley, 68, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Trinity West. He was born April 7, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio. Jim was a member of Harrison Hills Church of Jewett. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Preceding Jim in death were his daughter Carrie Jackson; father Harold Byrley; brother Harold Byrley; sister Dorothy “Dottie” Parker and step father Edward Tolley. Surviving are his wife Donna L. Hoobler Byrley; two sons David (Mary) Byrley of Columbus, OH and Brian (Tammy) Byrley of Sarona, WI; mother Dorothy Stewart Tolley of Steubenville, OH; 9 grandchildren Jordan, Allie, Madi, Breanna, Jacob, Abby and Emma Byrley and Colton and Olivia Jackson; 3 step grandchildren Lanna, Bethany and Andrea Smith; 2 step great grandchildren Carter and Kylie; step brother Dale Tolley of Springfield, OH and son-in-law Mike Jackson. Friends may call at Dunlope - Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Monday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. and at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kirt Denney officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
