James C. Karpowicz, 89, of Rocklin, CA, died Monday, January 28, 2013 in Roseville, CA. He was born February 17, 1923 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of late Stephen and Mary Dondzilla Karpowicz. Jim was a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW.  He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Wojcik Karpowicz on August 16, 2007 and three sisters Anna Mulholland Anderson, Pauline Majewski and Victoria Wolter.  Jim is survived by two sons James “Jim” (Susan) Karpowicz, Jr. and Robert E. (ShuMei) Karpowicz; daughter Frances Fehrman; grandson Roger Waters; granddaughter Jennifer Karpowicz and sister Lottie Grajewski.  Friends may call at Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church (Holy Rosary), 200 Rosemont Avenue, Steubenville on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy with mass at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bradley Greer officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery where Wright Patterson AFB will conduct military honors.
