James Bodo, 91, of Pickerington, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born in Steubenville on October 28, 1932 a son of the late John and Anna Spiller Bodo. He was a retired yardmaster for Norfolk & Southern RR in Mingo Junction. Jim was a Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War and an avid golfer. Preceding Jim in death were his daughter Amy Diehl; siblings Hilda Mehalik, Lena Bodo, Frank, Albino, David & Robert Bodo.
Jim is survived by his wife Judith A. “Judie” Smith Bodo; daughter Brenda (James Perry) Bodo; son Christopher J. (Diane) Bodo; two granddaughters Brianna (Brick) Davis & Timyka (Alex Davis) Diehl; great granddaughter Teddi Davis and son-in-law Timothy Diehl.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon with Rev. Michael Gossett officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

I worked with Jim in the 70s to early 80s at Mingo Junction. Jim was a good friend and a great guy! I have thought of him often over the years. I am just sorry I lost touch with him. Rest easy Jim!
