Jack “Sonny” Bidish, 80, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Trinity West. He was born December 25, 1932 in Steubenville, son of the late Nick Norcio and Lucille M. Ferguson Berdine. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Milton Berdine. Jack retired from Ameritech as a lineman/service technician with 39 years of devoted service with the company. A Korean veteran serving in the U.S. Navy, he was honorably discharged in 1953. He held membership with the Argonne American Legion Post #33, where he was Commander for over eight years and PNA Lodge 652. Jack enjoyed playing golf, rooting for the Steelers and his yearly trips to Canada for fishing. Most important of all, he treasured his vacations to Myrtle Beach and dancing to Country and Jazz music with the love of his life, wife Sharon, who survives. Surviving is his wife Sharon L. Hawkins Bidish, daughters Jody (David) Tuttle, Susan Sierdorfer and Stacy Bidish, son Brian (Ginger) Bidish, stepsons Ronald (Lisa) Callahan, David (Claudine) Kness, Victor (Crystal) Zrinyi and Christopher Zrinyi, grandchildren: David (Amber), Nick (Melissa) Tuttle, Betsy and Alex Sierdorfer, Russell and Tanner Bidish, Lance Beck, Jenna Shebovsky, Lauren, Nick and Garrett Callahan, Rory Kness, Jordan Koons, Domanic Zrinyi, Ryan, Shane and Jacalynn Zrinyi, great grandchildren: David Peyton, Emily Grace Tuttle and Brayden Callahan.Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 2 – 5p.m., where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., with Rev. Leonard Peeler officiating. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will accord military honors at the funeral home chapel.
