Jack F. Unsold 82 of Wintersville,OH died Monday, October 18,2004 at Valley Hospice Palliative Care Unit. He was born in Dover, OH on October 21, 1921 the son of the late Frank and Marie Kaelin Unsold. Preceded in death by his first wife, Luverne Parrish Unsold 1979 and an infant daughter Marcia and two brothers, Edward and Francis “Wally“ Unsold. Jack was a member of Starkdale Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon. Served during WWII in the Army Air Corps and held membership in the American Legion Post #888, Columbus, OH. He was co-owner of Denn-Sold construction Co., and was a master carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wickham Mathieu Unsold and a son, Douglas (Debbie) Unsold of Marietta, OH and two daughters, Jacquelyn (Richard) Madding of Centerville, OH and Denise (John) Kingma of Grayslake, Ill. Five grandchildren, P.J. (Katie) Madding, Scott (Aimee) Madding, David Madding, Jennifer (Shane) Altergott and Christopher Kingma. Three great grandchildren. Three Step-children, Lynn Mikesell, Robert (Debra) Mathieu and Richard (Karen) Mathieu all of Wintersville. Seven step-grandchildren, Jason Mikesell, Erin Mikesell and Robert, Andrew, Emily, Erica and Brandon Mathieu. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. John Zuercher to officiate. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services. Memorial contributions may be directed to Starkdale Presbyterian Church or Valley Hospice.
