Izetta L. “Iney” Ankrum, 93, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was born in Kolmont, Mingo Junction, Ohio on February 15, 1925. Izetta was known by many different names like grandma, grandma Iney, aunt Iney and aunt B-Iney. She was one of the oldest members of Kolmont Church, Mingo Junction and loved to attend her Sunday school class known as the Welcome Circle Class. Iney was a good cook and loved baking. Preceded Iney in death were her husband Franklin L. “Frank” Ankrum; mother Lenora “Toots” Bailey and brother Fred Bailey. Surviving are three sons Larry (Jennifer) Wright of Sunbury, OH, Richard (Anita) Ankrum of Wintersville, OH and P. Dean (Erin) Ankrum of Wellsburg, WV; six grandchildren Sabrina (Josh) Evans of Lakewood, CO, Elizabeth (Duane Bradley) Wright, of Westerville, OH, Rebecca (Jason) Yanni of Westerville, OH, Darci (Brad) Sidwell of Palmyra, VA, Derek Ankrum of Columbus, OH, and Brittany (Doug) VanHorn of Mingo Junction, OH; nine great grandchildren; two sisters Mary Thomas of Albany, KY and Wilma (Jim) Kough of Richmond, OH who was like a daughter to her; sister-in-law Margaret Bailey of Hopedale, OH; special cousin Esther (Donald) Fugett of Wintersville, OH and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville Monday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Wayne & Pastor Herbert Fletcher officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Her family wants to express our most heart felt thanks to the staff of Gables in Hopedale, OH and Valley Hospice of Steubenville for their loving care and tremendous support in Izetta’s last days.

Inez was one of the very first persons I have from my youth. She remained friends with my mother Liz Parrish until she passed in 2005. She would call or stop by to visit and it would make her day. Prayers to her entire family. She will be greatly missed.
