Irene M. Danley 81 of Steubenville, OH died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Merritt Manor, Toronto, OH. She was born in Steubenville on February 24, 1922 a daughter of the late John and Louise Zellar Hodgkiss. She was a member of the former LaBelle View United Methodist Church, Steubenville and had currently been a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville. She was a retired fashion merchandising consultant, having worked at the former Reiner’s Department Store and the former The Hub Department Store, both of Steubenville. Irene attended Steubenville (Big Red) High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Bernard D. Danley he died June 27, 2002 and they were married on March 12, 1941, and sister Margaret Northrop. She is survived by a sister Dorothy Boilegh of Steuebnville, two sisters-in-law Bessie Danley of Steubenville and Betty Danley of Carrollton, Ohio, 6 nieces, 11 nephews, 8 great nieces, 5 great nephews. Friend may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1p.m. with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
