Irene Eleanor Bartell, 88 of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Columbus (Ohio) Healthcare Center. She was born in Bolivar, PA on May 12, 1915 a daughter of the late Ernest and Suzanne Forsythe Armor. She was a member of LaBelle View Church of Christ; Wintersville P.T.A. and a Republican Committeewoman. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Arthur D. Bartell, the former Mayor of Wintersville. Surviving are two daughters Bonnie (Jim) Kayse of Columbus and Nanette (Richard) Pompa of Wintersville; son Art (Laurie) Bartell of Columbus; five grandchildren Tim DeLelles, Michelle Brown and Nicole, Anthony and Rachel Pompa; three great grandchildren; two brothers Hayes (Valjean) Armor of Lower Burrell, PA and Edgar (Lucy) Armor of Natrona Heights, PA; and one sister Gladys Uttley of Naples, FL. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Minister Tom Arehart officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
