Ila Kate Wheaton 95 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, Ohio. She was born in Jefferson County on October 6, 1907 a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Cole Wheaton. Ila was preceded in death by an infant daughter Beverly; two brothers Francis and Clark A. Wheaton and two sisters Inez Solter and Gladys Albans. Surviving are three nieces Leslie (Jack) Cagot of Bloomingdale, Ohio, Joyce Wheaton of Frostburg, MD and Marsha (Bob) Marker of Wintersville; two nephews Ron (Janet) Wheaton of Huntington, CA and Frank Solter of Scio; seven great nieces and nephews and twelve great great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 12:30 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wendy Norris officiating.
