Hugh T. Barnett, 86, of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Acuity Specialty Hospital. He was born August 27, 1921 in Follansbee, WV a son of the late Clarence A. and Florence C. Marsh Barnett. Hugh was a member of First Christian Church, Weirton; 50 year member of Wellsburg Masonic Lodge #2 AF & AM and a WW II Army veteran. He retired as an accountant from Weirton Steel. Hugh was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Jean Barnett; four brothers Harold, Richard, Paul and Robert Marsh Barnett and sister Virginia Burgess. Surviving are his wife Clarice I. Wilson Barnett; two daughters Karen Barnett of Zanesville, OH and Linda (Greg) Davis of Wellsville, OH; son Tom (Brenda) Barnett of Oshkosh, WI; brother Clarence L. Barnett; three sisters Mary Gracey, Jean Verner and Doris (Albert) Ficca; six grandchildren Ryan, Bradley and Mark Davis, Jonathan, Christopher and Joshua Barnett and one great granddaughter MaKenna Davis. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held Thursday 10 a.m. with Rev. Robert Gracey officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to First Christian Church.
