Howard F. Bell 86 of Steubenville, OH passed away Friday, February 7, 2003 at Park Village Care Center, Dover , OH. Howard was the youngest and last surviving of ten children of Lance and Molly Beall. Howard was the loving husband of Hester N. Thrash Bell, they had been happily married for 70 years. Howard was retired from National Steel Corporation where he worked in the Tin Mill on the cleaning lines for 45 years. He was a 50 year member of both Pilgrim Lodge #691 and the Scottish Rite of Steubenville, as well as a active member of the Steubenville Shrine Club and Aladdin Temple, Columbus, OH. Howard was an avid reader of history and archeology. Active member of Aboriginal Explorers Club, Wellsville, OH and The Painted Post Collectors Club. Dedicated Steubenville Big Red Booster. Member of Wintersville Christian Church. Survived by sons William (Loretta) Bell of Steubenville and Carl (Judy) Bell of Dover, OH, grandchildren Howard (Lisa) Bell of Columbus, OH, Scott (Nancy) Bell of Dover, OH, Kelly (Mike) Wood of Lynchburg, VA, great grandchildren Conor and Emilyn Bell of Dover, OH, William, Elizabeth and Lauren Bell of Columbus, OH, Caleb Wood of Lynchburg, VA, all of whom will miss their pap-pap. Friend may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev.Rob Rowe officiating. Burial at Union Cemtery, Steubenville. Pilgrim Lodge 691 services Sunday 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital.
