Hilda P. Stone 85 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Wesley Glen Health Care Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on December 9, 1916 a daughter of the late Charles and Hattie Boyd Diday. She was a member of Harmony U.M. Church in Mingo Junction, Ohio, where she was involved with several organizations within the church, a volunteer at the former Ohio Valley Hospital and a graduate of Kent State University. Hilda was a retired elementary schoolteacher in Jefferson County. She was preceded in death by her husband David Stone; one brother William Diday; and two sisters Nellie Harper and Mary “Emily” Diday. Surviving are her sister-in-law Helen Diday of Columbus; niece Kathy Duncan of Columbus and nephew Jim Harper of Glendale, Arizona. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 P.M.(ONLY) where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.
