Hilda “Hoodie” Walters of Steubenville passed away at her home comforted by her family on Saturday, January 10, 2009 after a struggle with leukemia at the age of 82. A daughter of the late Hilda Chamberlain Wilson and Joseph A. Wilson, she was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Walters, Sr.; daughter Sissie Walters; brother Joe Wilson, Jr. & sisters Mary DiNovo & Helen “Marge” Hughes. Hoodie is survived by her daughter & caregiver Jodie (John) Walters of Steubenville and sons Ronald (Jan) Walters & Thomas E. (Kathy) Walters, Jr. all of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren Kimberly, Bryan (Tara), Allison, Jason (Jaymee), Matthew, Erin, & Mandi (Shon); and great grandchildren Kelci, Christian, Camaron, Alex, Bella, Manijiah “Mia”and Emma.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Greco officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.Memorials may be directed to Charity Hospice.
