Hester N. Bell, 96, of Steubenville, OH died Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Dover, OH. She was born in Rayland, OH on November 18, 1915 a daughter of the late John and Lucy Brown Thrash. Hester was a member of New Somerset Christian Church, Buena Vista United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star LaBelle Chapter 414. Preceded in death by her husband Howard F. Bell; sisters Katherine Reed and Marguerite Moffo; daughter-in-law Loretta Bell. Hester is survived by her sons Carl (Judy) Bell of Dover, OH and William Bell of Steubenville; grandchildren Scott (Nancy) Bell of Dover, Kelly (Mike) Wood of Lynchburg, VA and Howard (Lisa) Bell of Columbus, OH; 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Winterville, OH on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rob Rowe officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: New Somerset Christian Church, 12052 State Route 213, Toronto, OH 43964.

Carl and Bill and families. So sorry to hear about your Mom. Hester was such a special neighbor. The kids never talk about the Old days without talking aout your Mom and Dad. They were good examples for Carl and I in raising our children. Sorry we coulnt be there for you. I had Catteracts removed on Wed. and Hank and Art were out of town. Our prayers are with you. I remember Hester as a child as my grandmother Roush took me to BuenaVista church each Sunday, she was a very nice lady and left a lasting impressing on me since now im 47. My prayer go out to her Family and to Hester. Thank you for the fond memories of my childhood
