Herta E. Clifford, 92, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Catherine’s Care Center. She was born August 29, 1920 in Tilsit, Germany a daughter of the late Gustav and Martha Reschleit Kaukereit. Herta was protestant by faith. She was a press operator at a dry cleaner. Preceding Herta in death were her husband, whom she married in 1967, Charles T. Clifford who died in 1999 and sister Irene Karlsson. Surviving are two nephews Robert D. (Patricia) Ludewig of Wintersville, OH and Walter (Virginia) Ludewig of Follansbee, WV; niece Christina Strom of Sweden and many great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home) 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Paul Danielson officiating. Burial at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, OH.
