Herman A. “Pete” Parrish, 80, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Trinity West. He was born October 28, 1930 in Adena, OH a son of the late Oliver and Laura Alice Woods Parrish. Pete retired from the electrical department of Weirton Steel and was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church. Pete was preceded in death by his 1st wife Alice Parrish; infant sons David Wayne, Danny Wayne and Timmy Lee Parrish and a brother William Parrish. Surviving are his wife Mary I. "Imogene" Jones Parrish; step daughter Phyllis Kuntz of Steubenville, OH; step son Ken (Bernie) Tolley of Wintersville, OH; two sons Terry and Roger Parrish both of Kansas; two sisters Grace Daymut of Cambridge, OH and Margaret Frye of Wintersville, OH; nephew Phillip Mattucci of Steubenville, OH; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 3 – 6 p.m. where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.

I'm sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I'll always remember Pete as a kind man who never complained. He took our dogs when we had to move out of town and loved my daughter in her youth as his own. I can still see his smile and hear the stories from the past. My deepest sympathy to his family.
