Henry W. “Smittie” Smith, Jr., 68, of Steubenville died suddenly on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Steubenville on June 20, 1946 the son of the late Henry W. Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth A. Lewis Smith who survives. Smittie retired from Foster-Wheeler where he was business manager and worked in accounting. He was a member of the Big Red Boosters and an avid Big Red sports fan. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother Edward J. Smith. Smittie is survived by his mother of Steubenville; niece Shanley (Anthony) Demitras of Toronto, OH; nephew Eddie (Michelle) Smith of North Ridgeville, OH; uncle Frank (Michelle) Tice of East Liverpool, OH; great nephews Alijah, Andoni and Aizek; great nieces Ayla and Lilly.
