Henry W. Johnson (nee Charles Everett “Jack” Talbott) 92 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at Dixon Health Care Center. He was born in Portland, Ohio on December 9, 1909 a son of the late William and Mollie Wolfe Talbott. Henry retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Galvinizing Dept. after 39 years of service. He was a Protestant by faith, a local building contractor, avid gardener and a lifetime member of Tri-County Coon Hunters of Richmond, Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife Grace Tumlin Johnson whom he married in 1933 and she died on November 10, 1995; one son Daniel Talbott; a grandson David Talbott; son-in-law Randall Stacy; seven brothers Delbert, Floyd, Stanley, Henry, Rufus, Hollie and Zollie Talbott; and three sisters Lida Cornelius, Nell Middleswartz and Ada Fox. Surviving are two daughters Madeline Stacy and Joyce (Larry) Dunlope of Wintersville; Gene Stacy (Madeline’s brother-in-law); eight grandchildren Randy (Lisa) Stacy, Cheryl (Lenny) Boys, Kevin Stacy, Kim Dunlope, Kathy (Charles) Dougherty, Denise (Sidney) Manuel, Danny (Teresa) Talbott and Donette (Kevin) Dugan; fourteen great grandchildren Shanna, Jeremy, Matthew, Kevin II, Jennifer, Randall, Jackson, Jessie, Kaitlin, Joey, Alyssa, David, Monique and Quinn; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of Henry’s family private services were held and burial followed at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Memorials can be sent to Alzheimers Foundation.
