Helen M. Whitten 84 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on March 9, 1919 a daughter of the late Frank and Johanna Otte Davidson. Helen was a member of Wintersville U.M. Church and held the following memberships Fidelis Sunday School Class, Mary Martha Faith Circle, Wintersville Womans Club, Wintersville Stadium Committee, Wintersville Warriors Aide, lifetime Indian Creek Boosters and Order of Eastern Star LaBelle Chapter 414. She was a retired telephone operator at Ohio Bell; former Amway distributor and Tupperware salesperson. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Henry H. “Pete” Whitten whom she married on June 29, 1946 and he died on September 9, 1996 and one sister Margaret Steele. Surviving are her daughter Karen L. Whitten of the residence; sister Virginia (Norman) Pancoast of Wintersville, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorial contributions may be made to Wintersville U.M. Church Memorial Fund.
