Helen M. D’Andrea, 95, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on December 29, 2024 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. Helen was born on October 22, 1929 in Ponce de Leon, Florida a daughter of the late Roy & Eileen Pitts Humes. Helen was a 1948 graduate of Follansbee High School.
Helen worked at Ohio Valley Hospital and was a member of the Labelle View Church of Christ and YWCA. She was an avid golfer and bowler.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband John A. D’Andrea; son William A. Sweitzer and siblings Mary Ann Winstel & Roy Humes. She is survived by two daughters Margaret (Robert) Cox and Linda DiLorenzo; sister Laura Frattini; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Final arrangements are pending with Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home.

Helen was a strong Christian woman and a caring friend. She showed her Christian faith whether she was driving the LBVCC van or working in the kitchen. Helen was also our dear neighbor who cared for her neighborhood as she cared for family. Love you Helen!
