Helen J. Jones, 78 of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Trinity West. She was born in Alverton, Pennsylvania on October 8, 1925 a daughter of the late Michael and Julia Zurick Yurkovsky. Helen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her husband Fred D. Jones, Sr. on October 9, 1997. Surviving are her son Fred D. (Becky) Jones, Jr. of East Springfield, Ohio; daughter Karen (Bob) Vandeborne of Bloomingdale, Ohio; two brothers George (Edna) Yurkovsky of Steubenville and Larry (Ellie) Yurkovsky of Stow, Ohio; one sister Marge Wisniewski of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three grandsons Robert (Lori) Vandeborne; Freddy (Betsy) Jones and Chad (Brandy) Vandeborne and two great grandchildren Robert and Alexandra Vandeborne. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday afternoon 1- 4 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Monday.
