Helen E. Traversa, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Carriage Inn. She was born in Steubenville on January 4, 1938, a daughter of the late John & Mary Doyle Dailey. Helen was a 1955 graduate of CCHS and a talented seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of Triumph of the Cross (Holy Rosary) Catholic Church where she served as a reader and eucharistic minister. Helen was devoted to the Blessed Mother and praying the Rosary.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; husband Guy J. Traversa, Jr. on April 10, 2019; and brother Bob Dailey.
Helen is survived by her three daughters Marie A. Traversa, Beth (Rick) Burns & Kathleen (Napoleon) Silva; three grandchildren Erika (Anthony) Martucci, Brandon (Leigh) Silva & Connor Silva; siblings Mike (Anne) Dailey, Peggy (Richard) Maloney, Theresa Dailey & Kathleen Ricci.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 5:30 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Nau officiating. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Southern Care Hospice, 100 Welday Street, Suite G, Wintersville, OH 43953
