Helen B. Figel 78 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Sunday, May 4, 2003 at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in Steubenville on April 25, 1925 a daughter of the late Paul and Barbara Horvath. Helen, a devout and faithful Christian, was Pentecostal by faith having attended Tri-State Church of God in Weirton, WV and was a retired secretary at Word of Life Assembly of God in Steubenville. She was preceded in death by three brothers Paul, Steven and John Horvath. Helen is survived by her husband of 57 years Michael R. Figel; two daughters Pamela (Ron) DiCarlo of Mingo and Marsha (Jim) Morris of Bloomingdale, Ohio; four grandchildren Ron (Jennifer) DiCarlo, Jr. and Tracy (Robert) Nutter of Mingo, Heather (Michael Todd) Crawford of Columbus, Ohio, and Creed (April) Peters of Cleveland, Ohio; six great grandchildren; one sister Barbara (Howard) Brooks of Columbus, Ohio; and one brother Joseph Horvath of Dunnellon, Florida. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio on Monday 5-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Robert Tate officiating.
