Dick and Sandy and Nancy, LaVonne and I want to express our sincere sympathy on the death of Hazel. She was one of our favorites. She always was glad to see us come to visit and always was interested in our families. I remember when I was young I often came to Mingo and stayed at the Ritchie home for many days. Hazel treated me as if I were one of hers. She will be really missed. You have lost a great parent and we have lost a great aunt and friend. Ralph and LaVonne Porter.

Dick, Nancy and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know Hazel was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister. She was always nice to me when growing up and I was always welcomed at her home in Mingo, where we lived across the street, or in Wintersville when we came to visit. All of us will miss her. She was a special aunt. Love, Carol

Some of my fondest memories are going to Hazel's 3 story house in Mingo and having the whole family gather there almost every weekend. I remember her and Dorothy singing Christmas carols in my parents living room and the many gatherings at her house in Wintersville. I was out at her house one time and she had just made some sandwich spread and was going to throw it out because it was a day old. I told her Ralph & I wouldn't eat it until it was at least a day old and from then on she always saved it for us. There are too many stories to relate here but I will miss her wit, humor and most of all, her love for all of us. Goodbye dear Aunt Hazel.

On behalf of The Salvation Army and myself I want to express my sincere sympathy on the loss of a special lady Hazel Ritchie. I only knew Hazel for a short period of time but each time that I saw her she had a smile that was as big as the day. Her quiet spirit ministered to me and my heart as I tried to minister to her. Hazel will be missed and I will remember her each time that I go to the Laurels. May God bless you!
